PROVIDES CONSISTENT MEASUREMENT OF SOLDER CONTACT FOR WAVE SOLDERING. Quality wave soldering is subject to many variable factors which control the actual contact of solder with the working surface of the circuit board. LEV CHEK is a calibrated, tempered glass gauge that is made similar in size and shape to a printed wiring board and is designed for use on wave soldering equipment to monitor flux coverage, wave shape, wave turbulence, conveyor leveling and other quality control factors.
The LEV CHEK gauge, which is held to a flatness tolerance of 0.0003" per linear inch, is processed in the wave soldering line in the same manner as an actual printed board. The glass panels of LEV CHEK allow easy observation of the wave to board contact and a printed calibration grid permits real time measurement of wave shape, angle of contact, flux and oil intermix as well as solder pump performance.
