Hexacon Electric Company announces the release of
Phenix, a true Temperature-Controlled Stick Iron

The Phenix soldering iron by Hexacon Electric Company combines the simplicity of a stick iron with the sophistication of state-of-the-art temperature control technology.

Phenix features include a ceramic heating element for reduced start-up times and on-board, microcontroller-circuitry that has been pre-calibrated at the factory to maintain precise "no drift" tip temperature under all load conditions. It is available in two power levels with 600, 700 or 800 degree temperature options.

Engineered to outperform soldering irons twice its rating, the Phenix remains cool and comfortable for the operator while helping to reduce energy use and plant running costs. Additionally, the new iron offers users an economical route to more closely defined manufacturing processes through its preset, calibrated and fixed temperature operation.

Other Phenix features include an ergonomically-designed handle with comfortable, cushioned, elastomer finger grip, an oil-, water- and burn-resistant, neoprene, 3-wire power cord and a UL rating.

It uses standard Hexacon CT tips in use worldwide in through-hole, SMT and mixed applications. Custom tip configurations are available.

Manufactured in the United States to Hexacon's industry-standard quality levels, the company states that the Phenix has been engineered to outlast all others of its type currently available in the US and abroad.
